The Sleepwalkers will set Tio’s on fire. The Rhythm Shakers will burn it to the ground.
The Rhythm Shakers, though at their core have the look and sound of a late 50’s early 60’s rock and roll band, are influenced by the most interesting sounds of 60’s soul, blues and modern music.
The ripping wails and howling vocals, as red hair is flailing and the double bass pounding, rocketing from Marlena Perez’s torso are more reminiscent of Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse than the echo dripped hiccups of the 1950’s rockabilly, honky tonks singers.
Backed by the boys in the band, Kevin O’Leary playing hard driving guitar, bassist Victor Mendez and drummer Brook Emelio weaving a spider web of rhythm that will drive you up on your feet or take you to your knees.
The Sleepwalkers are at the heart, Americana, Mexicapolitian, Roots, and Cumbiabilly. A straight up raza retro cool band that performs mostly originals that hits you like a steam-powered freight train
