(March 14) – San Diego’s Black Market III has officially signed to Rip Cat Records. They share the label with with many other remarkable artists such as The Blasters, Kid Ramos, John Clifton, The 44s (Johnny Main), Orphan Jon & The Abandoned, Alastair Greene (Alan Parsons), Gino Matteo, Jade Bennett, and many more greats on the worldwide Blues scene.
“Scottie..Roxy and band are a great fit for us. Their original songs and style are fresh, yet traditional. Their live show is an adventure of groove and feelings. Something for everyone to enjoy,” said Rip Cat Records who plan to release a Black Market III debut album in 2018.
Formed in the Fall of 2011 by Scottie Blinn* (former front-man for the iconic, multi-award winning San Diego band The Mississippi Mudsharks) and Roxanne Coverdale, Black Market III quickly turned into a red hot band focused on playing hard hitting, soulful Blues, American Roots, and Rock (the vein of Social Distortion and the Clash).
2018 has started with a bang as BMIII received a nomination for “Best Blues Band” by the SDMA’s, and con currently signed with Rip Cat Records, based out of Southern CA.
